That won’t happen any more. Goodell convinced the owners to pay now, so that they might still earn later. He convinced the men suing him to take a fraction of what they could make if they were still playing. He took advantage of their vulnerability, and the fact that many of them can’t wait years for the hopes of a bigger payout. They have to pay their medical bills today.
