Okay, bitcoins seems a little silly. But the U.S. government just seized about 25% of them in circulation from Silk Road as part of a bust. Does that mean the rest of them go up 30% to make up for the loss?? It seems doubtful the government will try to redeem them but you never know. And of course Silk Road may get them back. The downside risk is that the demand for Silk Road products may account for a sizeable part of bitcoins current value. I wonder if bitcoins can be used to buy cigarettes in prison? Hmmmm.
