Current owner Antonetta 但ツ€ツ弋oni但ツ€ツ� Binanti took over the Seneca Ave. store in 2003. Her uncle, a former employee, bought the shop in the 1980s. Despite their Italian heritage, they mastered the craft of making German chocolate bark-covered marzipan sticks ($3.95), $5 cherry tarts and the two-layer bienenstich, or bee-sting cake, a double-layered beauty filled with custard and topped with a delicately crunchy baked almond crust.
